Project Details
Fyndor is a community-focused mobile marketplace designed for users who want to buy and sell items locally through a fast, user-friendly experience. The app allows users to create listings with up to ten photos, detailed descriptions, pricing information, and categorized item types. Buyers can browse listings through a searchable feed, view detailed product pages, and communicate directly with sellers using an integrated messaging system. The platform also includes user profiles where sellers can manage active listings and build credibility within the marketplace. Fyndor's clean interface and streamlined navigation help users complete transactions efficiently while fostering trust and connection within local communities.
“Fyndor makes buying and selling feel effortless. The clean interface, intuitive navigation, and built-in messaging system make it easy to connect with local buyers and sellers without feeling overwhelmed. Everything from posting a listing to completing a conversation feels smooth and thoughtfully designed.”

Things I Did
For this project, I conducted competitive research on marketplace applications such as Facebook Marketplace and Offer Up to identify industry best practices and user expectations. I created low-fidelity wireframes to establish information architecture and user flows before designing high-fidelity mobile screens in Figma. I developed a mini design system that included a custom color palette, typography hierarchy, reusable components, and interactive states. Additionally, I designed and prototyped key user journeys including browsing listings, viewing product details, managing conversations, and maintaining a seller profile. The final prototype was tested and refined to improve usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
